Tubes in Their Ears?

If your kids have tubes in their ears or repeated ear infections, you can do something about it.
Remove the dairy from their diet and replace with:
  • almond milk or rice milk
  • coconut milk or almond milk yogurt
  • coconut milk or rice milk ice cream
  • veggie cheese
Removing dairy from the diet drastically cuts the mucous production of the body and so there will be much less drainage in the ears, nose and throat.

These products, even if you have to buy them in a health food store, cost less than surgery, way less.

Is it worth it to try this for a month?

What Does Sleep Have To Do With It?

If I don't have enough sleep, I am useless to myself and to others. How about you?

You may ask, "What's enough sleep?" And the answer is, "It depends."

For me, enough sleep is 8-9 hours during the week, when I'm working and on the weekend, as much as I need.

Last night, I went to bed at 10 PM and awoke at 5:30 AM so that gave me only 7 1/2 hours of sleep which is not enough. Even though I just came back from my mile and a half walk on the treadmill, I feel a bit tired.

Tonight, I will come home from work, have supper and go to bed as soon as I start falling asleep over the computer keyboard:)

Many people feel guilty sleeping this much. Not me and I'll tell you why.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've known that I need a lot of sleep. With it I can be pleasant and loving to others, work well, play well and generally enjoy life. Without it, I am crabby to myself and others, don't do my best work and over-eat, in order to keep from falling asleep. In my whole life I have pulled an all nighter only once. That was in college and took me almost a week to recover. I did not do better on the test I was cramming for and I was exhausted, run down and miserable.

When we don't sleep enough, we compromise our body's ability to fight disease.

So enough sleep allows us to function at our best, resist germs and love others.

I don't need any fancy research to support this. I know what I know what I know. Sleep has everything to do with my health. What about you?
